This intricate mountain lion fetish is hand carved from Wild Horse by Zuni artist Evalena Boone. Wild Horse is the name given to a fairly new stone that was discovered in the mid-90s near the Globe copper mine in the Gila wilderness area of Southern Arizona. A beautiful, marbled, stone- Wild Horse retains a high value and is a remarkably popular.

Part of the Zuni Religion, Zuni Fetish Carvings represent the animal spirit thought to reside in the stone. The Zuni Mountain Lion is believed to be the most powerful hunter and is associated with both providing and healing. To many collectors, the Mountain Lion embodies qualities of perseverance, ambition and confidence.
