ABOUT US
FOUNDED OUT OF LOVE
The late Gregory Hofmann founded Turquoise Village in 1978 as an expression of his love for Zuni culture, jewelry and traditional Native American art. After visiting the Zuni Pueblo 35 years ago he swiftly established Turquoise Village in an effort to preserve the traditional craftwork of the Zuni tribe. Turquoise Village changed ownership to the Dodson family in October of 2019.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
By providing an outlet for artists to sell their jewelry and crafts, Turquoise Village makes preserving these traditional art forms a financially viable option for an otherwise economically limited area.
COMMITMENT TO QUALITY
Being located directly in the heart of the Zuni Pueblo allows us to provide a one-stop-shop for artists to both acquire the materials needed to craft their unique and traditional jewelry and folk art. This helps us to ensure that the materials being used are of the highest quality.
