Carl employs a micro-fine inlay technique called Intarsia which involves painstakingly shaping and polishing minuscule pieces of stone and fitting them together in an elaborate mosaic. The structure of this Navajo belt buckle was cast using Sterling Silver with southwestern designs incorporated throughout the recessed portions.
A custom stamped bezel holds a beautiful specimen of Indian Mountain turquoise from Nevada that functions a gorgeous centerpiece. Smaller rectangles of Indian Mountain turquoise adorn the far corners of the top and bottom of this piece. The real showstopper is the micro-fine inlay mosaic of Turquoise, Red Coral, Mother of Pearl, Gaspite, Lapis and Pink Coral.
