Navajo Cobbled Inlay Multistone Cuff Bracelet by Harold Smith

Product Description

This distinctive Bracelet by Navajo jeweler Harold Smith is an exceptional example of the Channel Inlay style.

The Native American technique of Channel Inlay involves cutting and shaping stones then laying them directly alongside each other, with no separation between them. Often these stones are of the same thickness, so the surface of the piece is smooth. This piece features a variation of Channel Inlay known as Cobbled Inlay. This Bracelet is fascinating in its inlay of stones of varying thickness, so the finish is textured and uneven.

The contrast between the careful cut of each stone with the raised finish of the piece creates a wonderful juxtaposition between the polished and the irregular.

Designed to intrigue, this Bracelet invites observation and admiration.
